Graeme Nicol is a photographer from Scotland, living in China since 2004 and currently based in Shanghai. He specialises in investigative documentary and photojournalism and is available for editorial assignments around China. He is also available for commercial work on either film or digital e.g architectural, events, interiors, portraiture, post-processing, multimedia editing. Graeme is fluent in everyday Chinese.

Career Timeline

01/08 - Began studying MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at Dalian College of Image Art, China, in the program run with Universty of Bolton, UK.

07/08 - Dutch magazine Onze Wereld publishes my work in their pre-Olympic “China Special”

07/08 - TOPS Shenyang International Photojournalism Festival exhibits some of my work

12/08 - Wangwen 5-minute multimedia slideshow screened at SmileCity Cultural Festival, Dalian.

03/09 - Signed contract with Shanghai-based agency Imagine China (IC) to distribute future work.

05/09 - Trade Winds project published as 5-page photo essay in Guangzhou-based daily newspaper.

06/09 - Successful graduation with MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography
